About Alex Delmar
I suffered for most of my life with the symptoms of untreated ADHD, but it was ruling out early-onset Alzheimer's that finally got me diagnosed. I understand the struggles you might face at school and at work, in your home, with relationships, with finances, with grief for the life you might have had if not for a late diagnosis or inadequate treatment.
I have a B.A in Psychology from the University of Connecticut, and was, for many years, a social worker for adolescents and young adults, an educational advocate, and an academic tutor. I'm certified as a life coach through MentorCoach and the International Coaching Federation. I keep up with current developments in ADHD research and the best practices to mitigate its effects, so I can best guide you to build the skills to live a happier, healthier life, and achieve more, too!
I became certified as a life coach with a specialty in ADHD coaching because I am determined to spread the word that your blunders are almost certainly not due to a bucketful of character flaws, but are more likely characteristics of the ADHD brain, and once you understand how to work with your brain, you have the opportunity to improve everything!
